The Patience Wright Chapter, NSDAR, is very active, not only in our community but in all levels of the state and national societies. Our members attend state conferences in California and we often have several delegates represent our chapter in Washington, D.C., for the National Society's annual Continental Congress. Learning about all the amazing activities of other Daughters from around the world inspires us to come back home and do even more in our local area.
Throughout the year, we support our local schools and veterans' efforts and organizations. Some of our local activities include:
- Laguna Beach Patriots Day Parade
- Wreaths Across America
- Working Wardrobes
- Potters Lane
- High school awards: DAR Good Citizens Award and scholarship
- Memorial Day services
Below you will see us in the Laguna Beach Patriots Day Parade; with our DAR Good Citizens awardee from Laguna Beach High School (LBHS); marking the American Legion Post 222 in Laguna Beach; participating with other Orange County chapters at Wreaths Across America in Corona del Mar, and bringing Christmas cheer to the veterans at Potter's Lane.
